Tuesdays with Morrie plot summary and background
Mitch Albom was a student under Morrie Schwartz at Brandeis University and after graduation seemed to forget most of Morrie's teachings and worked a busy life as a journalist. He was drawn back to his professor after learning Morrie had contracted ALS on the Nightline. He returned to his old teacher and over the course of 13 Tuesdays recorded Morrie's last lessons on life and together they wrote Tuesdays with Morrie. The book is a narration of Albom's return to Morrie, their Tuesday meetings and the topics they discussed, and the sad eventual death of Morrie Schwartz.
